1st PTA Meeting for 2010-2011

Hope your summer is going well!  Can you believe that school starts so soon?  I can't!!!

I am not ready at all!  We have had a crazy, crazy summer.  I don't know if any of you are aware,

but I had some serious health issues this summer and ended up spending about a week in the hospital.

My health still isn't 100% and probably won't be for a while.  Because of this, I have had to slow down

a lot and reevaluate things.  PTA is one of those things that I have had to reevaluate.  

Although I have LOVED being so involved, I am going to need a LOT of help this year.

SO, hopefully, you all will talk to your friends and neighbors and make it a goal to get at 

least one new member to come to our first meeting.  It will be held on 

Thursday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. in the library at the school.  Please make it a priority to be there.

We will be discussing the changes that are being made this year with our PTA board.  

We will also be looking for ideas for the year.  Please come with your excitement to make this a good 

year at Rees.  We really have a great PTA!  You guys are awesome!  I appreciate all that you did last 

year for the school and the kids.  This year should be another great year!  We will see you next

Thursday!

May PTA Meeting

Just a quick reminder of tomorrows PTA meeting. We will meet at 10:45 A.M. at the school. Hope to see you all there!!

Kindergarten and 6th Grade Graduation Pictures

Pictures for Kindergarten and 6th Grade will be taken on Wednesday March 31st. They will provide a cap and gown for this picture and each child will recieve a free picture at their graduation ceremonies.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration will be held Tuesday March 23rd. It will be held from 7:30 till 4:00. We are looking for volunteers to help this day, we need 2 people for each slot, you will help with PTA memberships and selling t-shirts. I will be emailing everyone with the schedule, so if you can help please reply to all so we will all know which spots are being filled. If you do not recieve an email and are willing to help please contact Kristina or Suzee. The shifts are going to be about 3 hours long. Thanks for all your help!

*Box Tops and Macey's Reciepts*

We have had a great success with both box tops and Macey's receipts this year!! We would just like to remind you to collect them the rest of the year and throughout the summer. We will be continue both programs again next year. Thanks so much!

Macey's Receipts

Just a reminder to turn in all your Macey's receipts by Friday the 25th. You can send them to school with your student, turn them in at the office, or take them to Macey's by 3:00 PM on the 25th. Thanks!!

February PTA Meeting

We will be holding February's PTA meeting on February 16th, at 10:45 on the stage. We hope all of you will be able to attend, we will have lots to discuss!!!
